I saw the posting on recording multiple tracks with the CD WRITE function and could have used that before yesterday when my stress levels were really high. My question to anyone is have they found that the recordings they've made have come out distorted or poor quality? Do you have to use really good CD Rs with this burner? |

Hi, I have had similar problems with recording levels. Now, all I do is make sure the Stereo track recording levels do not peak at more than -4 dB. Justly, your recording levels on each track should not exceed 0 dB. To prove my point...I am using the 16G to record backing music for a 2 piece project I am involved with. I am using a Zoom rt123 Drum, Bass machine. Then I am recording a basic acoustic rhythm track as well. When all is done, I will play "Live" acoustic while my buddy sings to my programmed backing tracks. Anyway, I am using the PA system we will be playing thru as my monitors, seeing that this is what the music will be pumped thru when we play live. My 1st CD burnt with the 16g was Hotter Than Hell...so I went and got my KISS Unplugged CD, put it in the player on the PA, with all the same slider levels. Turns out that the factory CD was WAAAY lower in volume than the 16G CD. After a few "Coasters" the -6 to -4 Stereo recording level matches the factory CD levels. |
