First: As many of you may have found out, the "hammers" (that's what Roland calls the weight arms for the weighted keys) self-destruct after some time, and break. In my case, Roland replaced the entire keyboard's complement of weights at no charge (white keys only, as those are the ones that break). Second: The piano has developed a new problem, which I'm attempting to solve. The sustain pedal causes a small pitch shift (upward) in addition to sustaining. Roland sent me a service manual (only $5.00), but it's a photocopied pamphlet, and the schematics are hard to read. I'd appreciate hearing what the solution might be, if anyone's encountered this problem with their FP-8. |

Hi, I am looking for some help in repairing my FP-8. My daughter was rough on my Great C and Cshard key. Do you have a phone number for Roland that is current. How dirricult is it to replace a key? Which screws do you take out ect. Any contact info and knowledge you have gained would be worth it's weight in gold. Thank you....Jani |
