Our church has a pretty rocking band and we do a live 8-16 track mix (32X8 Channel Mackie) every Sunday...We even do a Mix-B down mix to 2-Channel and record using a simple Stereo USB recordinb. BUT we're loosing a huge opportunity here since the Mix-B is rarely good since we can't hear it too well during the live performance, and we have no way to remix the original tracks So my question is - what you guys recommend for digitally recording at least 16 tracks, and then for post-processing later via a PC/Workstation, i.e., Alesis, Tascam, Pro-Tools, CuBase??? I want to spend under $2K and would be happy just being able to record the original individual tracks on some hard-disc recorder and use the PC software to remix it... |
