does anyone know how to pan tracks hard left and hard right in the mix? on the yamaha aw16g? be great if someone could help me out.

During mixdown or anytime the recorder isn't running, select the track you want to pan. Press the red pan button. Move the cursor over the track you want to pan and use the jog wheel to pan right or left. This should be done AFTER you've recorded the track, during recording.
