I am a live sound engineer working with a drummer who uses a Shure WH10 headset mic. The signal is particulary low when coming into the mixer. He recently purchased a small mixer and sends me the output of the signal from his small board on his end into the snake. This also gives him an option for a 'private' monitor mix by adding another powered monitor behind him. Yes, this has dramatically increased the gain at my end, but he is very difficult to EQ. He sounds hollow and like he is in a 'hole'. I EQ him again at my end but I still have problems. Any suggestions?
