Hello everyone. I'm a beginner to the whole DAW scene and especially to the AW16G.

We recently recorded a cantata our church's choir did, using all 8 inputs of the 16G. We recorded this all as 1 song to avoid the hassle of switching songs on the recorder, since we did this at a live performance in church on Sunday. When we went back and edited, we copied the whole cantata to avoid working with the original, trimmed to the first song of the cantata, and went to save the song, expecting a drastic file size reduction. The 30+ min. cantata was 1.33gb, and we were expecting 2.5 mins of that to be much smaller, but the size in the song list isn't changing at all. We have optimized to remove the undo data to no avail. Since we don't have much else on the HD right now (actually, nothing), we can deal with the humongous file size, but does anyone have a reason for this? Are we doing something wrong?

BTW, we used the DELETE cmd under the EDIT menu to trim from the end of song 1 to ~ 45:00:00:00 to ensure we got rid of the whole ending.

Thanks for the help in advance.
